About Me

I used to work as a journalist now I am teaching (although it is mostly being an entertainer/therapist/dictator.

I love adventure with hopes it doesn't lead to a hospital visit. I am a huge baby when it comes to needles. Most of my travels have been around North America, I have been to some places in the Pacific and the Caribbean. My top four places to travel so far.

1- Charleston, South Carolina - Easily the most beautiful city in the USA. Incredible white beaches with warm ocean water, during spring the flora blooms and reveals why God is the greatest artist. Amazing art culture especially during the Spoleto festival. Amazing plantations to visit, if you've seen the Hollywood classics about the south you'll recognize many of them.

2- New Orleans - it has everything; parties, art, culture, danger and the most amazing food. They call the culinary creole and it is a spectacular blend of African, French and Native American culture. Of course if you are going then you must visit during Mardi Gras.

3- Kawaii - The lessor known Island of Hawaii but perfect for fun in the sun, not overly commercial and great areas to do all sorts of exploring in and out of the water. Make sure you do the dive off the cliff (although it is now probably forbidden)

4- Gulf of Mexico - Incredibly affordable allowing for a variety of activities, just make sure you bring your peacemaker because things can get rough. Make sure you get out on a boat and do some fishing, you'll see everything from massive squid to great whites and even whales migrating.

I come from a very large family (5 brothers,3 sisters). I love animals and before I moved to Russia I had a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Patches and a grey calico named Franky.

I like day dreaming and just in general staring off into space. This does wonders for my writing and annoying people who want me to do something.

I have many flaws to numerous to list but the worst is being too attractive ;-) I love nature, animals and sometimes people.

I used to be a great athlete (basketball/football/baseball/tennis/soccer) now I am great at cooking and eating. I also love any type of game, I am very competitive. I especially love board games but am also very fond of poker ( I am a certified dealer in America).

I play a little piano and harmonica. The harmonica was my answer to all those guitar playing douches I met at every beach party I have ever been to. It's not like you can carry a piano with you everywhere so I had to learn something to make the ladies swoon.

I am pretty easygoing except when it involves competition, then I want to win. I don't smoke cigs but will occasionally indulge in Hookah or a cigar. I do like to drink but not to the point where I can't function. I enjoy a class of whiskey or a nice bottle of red wine. Beer I usually imbibe when I am chilling outside.

I can dance, it seemed my mom wanted a little girl when I was born. I was forced into tap dance and ballet. I also learned some swing and ballroom dancing. I am not as practiced as I once was but can still make some moves ;-)

Finally, I guess I am what every man wants to be... Bond, James Bond or in my case DeBoi, Shawn DeBoi.
