Well, my name is Shawn and I grew up about 30 minutes north of Boston, Ma. I have lived in this area my entire life. Always wanting to break out, but never taking the steps needed.

Almost everyone can pick out my accent. There is hardly a night spent out where someone doesn't mention it to me haha.

I have work experience in a number of fields. I am currently a plumber, but do not plan to continue on this path for much longer. I also worked full-time at a grocery store and as a server. I have never been without a job since I was 10 years old.

I hope to start a business of my own, possibly a social media marketing agency. Something that would allow me to work from anywhere.

I am easy going and try not to take things personally. I realize that I am a secondary character in the story of other's lives, and the main character of my own (Read "The Four Agreements" it is excellent).

I can be very shy when I first meet new people.

I like to stay fit by lifting, practicing yoga, and meditating. I found lifting in high school and used it as a way to gain weight (I was that super skinny kid). Yoga and meditation I found a few years ago through books. They have had the greatest effect on my mind set these last few years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Most of my traveling experience was done when I was young, with family. But I have always wanted to travel and more importantly live in different countries.

I heard of Couchsurfing from two different people with amazing experiences. One was a host in Colombia. It seems like a wonderful way to meet new people from all over the globe and to explore new places and cultures.

At the moment I am not in a very good location to host, but eventually I would like to change that and pay it forward, allowing others to stay with me as I hope many of you will allow me to stay with you!

Love EDM music. Went to my first festival in May of 2018, EDC Las Vegas, and loved it!
I hope to go to more in the future!

Any movie that can hold my interest is great. Genre doesn't matter much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Honestly, I have played it pretty safe in life. The most amazing thing I have probably done for myself is camping out at EDC. It was an incredible experience and the feeling of love all around was something I will never forget.

I hope to break out and go to Europe this summer for at least 3 weeks staying in hostels and couch surfing. Very excited to get planning!
