A couple things potential guests should keep in mind:

FIRST THING: I have a tiny apartment, so I usually only accept guests who request one or two nights at my place. Longer requests will probably not work.

SECOND THING: I get between 1-5 requests a day, from couchsurfers old and new, but if there are multiple requests for the same nights, I always give preference to people with experience hosting in their own homes. Gotta give if you wanna get, feel me?

ABOUT ME: I'm an English teacher living in Tokyo. I like punk music, reggae, soul, jazz, rock and roll, etc. Most of my free time in Tokyo is spent playing futsal or reading fiction, and I go to as many live shows as I can. I love working with kids because they're hilarious and they are oblivious to the fact that I'm only slightly more mature than them. Or at least, Japanese politeness prevents them from discussing my immaturity in front of me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard about this site for years from my more adventurous friends, and I'm taking their lead. I love meeting new people; usually a minute or two of bad jokes is enough for me to feel like anyone is my friend. I'm hoping to host some travelers here in Tokyo and create some buddies/pals/amigos/etc on a global scale.

If you're visiting Tokyo, I can teach you all sorts of valuable and versatile phrases, show you the lesser-known parts of the city, help you avoid common social missteps, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Jokes! Laughs! Secret Handshakes! I excel at making up entertaining and elaborate fairy tales/ghost stories/meandering picaresques on the spot. Seriously, give me a keyword or a phrase or any kind of prompt and I'll go wild with it. Poems, too.
