ABOUT ME

I am a 24 year old male born in Quebec Canada now living in Windsor, Ontario Canada. I graduated from the University of McMaster last year with a degree in Mechanical Engineering knowing full well that Engineering would probably not be my line of work. In the last year I've lived Ina tent for 2 months while planting trees in central Ontario, traveled to South Korea to teach English, and enrolled in a massage therapy course. Needless to say I am searching for a path which suits me. I love the peace and tranquility of being alone in nature. I love to share experiences with people who are open and willing.

Personal narrative:

I spent most of my late teens and early twenties reading and researching scientific literature in many different fields. Physics, Cosmology, Chemistry, Neurology. After a long time of studying these fields I recognized how essential philosophy was to the study of science and became quite interested in eastern philosophies. From this lead naturally into the practice of meditation which has taken me down an interesting path of life, sometimes blissfull sometimes frightening sometimes curious sometimes saddening, yet always insightful in the end.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed once before in Sudbury, ON, Canada when I was treeplanting near this area. My host was very nice and I had a pleasent experience.

Interests

I am especially interested in the world views and philosophies of different peoples. I love to play music, guitar and drums are my forte however I just started to learn the Chinese violin (Erhu). I also have a passion for martial arts, Tai Chi, Muay Thai, I am currently focused on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu I find it to be an amazing mix of technicality, physicality and intuition.
