Just looking for some fun things to do around the world, and cool people to meet and hang out with (I'm sure that is stereotypical on here, but I promise I'm anything but that 😆 )

I'm a Roboticist, meaning I build/develop robot systems. It's a lot of fun, and I can't imagine doing anything else... Wait, I quit my job to go travel, guess I CAN imagine doing other things.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I think the coolest thing about couchsurfing is the ability to meet new people. What better way to explore an area (or help a long-time resident find something new) than to enlist the help of a local. Bringing together people with a shared desire to meet new and interesting people is so amazing and it's a great way to meet new potential long-term friends.

I wonder what people would say 50 years ago is that knew that something like this exists today.

Música, películas y libros

Pretty much any type of music I can dance to. I admit I'm not a big "country" fan, but it won't ruin my day.

For movies, I again like anything, from sci-fi/fantasy movies and shows, to documentaries, and more. If you haven't seen the "Airplane" movies, you need to. :)

For books, I like anything with a good plot/universe laid out. Some favorites: Ender's Game, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Ready Player One, and parts of Game of Thrones?

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I think a new set of eyes is always good. I'm up for pretty much anything, so going on a hike, sporting event, baking class, downtown night club, etc are all on the table for me.

Although I'm not exactly Wolfgang Puck, I like to think I can cook pretty well. So if you'd like an assistant for cooking a nice 3 course meal, count me in (I'll help clean, I promise). I also have a few specialties I like to make (mostly Italian) and am happy to share. If you're a fan of baking, I have a fantastic donut recipe from my great-grandmother, but we have to be friends first before I'm willing to share.

I'm learning French, so if you're doing the same or just looking for a refresher/taste of home, I might be able to help. Warning, 'mon francais est tres mauvais'.
