CURRENT MISSION
To explore the world, meet interesting people and learn new languages!
Just finished a year long trip in South America. Now trying to cope with the aftermath of my awesome adventure, haha.

ABOUT ME
Explore, experience, experiment!
Your average nice guy, adapts easily, curious, open-minded, tidy and more importantly... no criminal record, haha. I'm laidback and don't take myself too seriously, or at least I try not to. I'd like people to feel comfortable in my company and am down for all kinds of conversations. Especially about life, purpose and inspiring experiences.
I've always been somewhat restless, always figuring out what to do or where to go next. I started getting bored at university so I decided to do an exchange year in Japan to write my Master's. This was not an easy experience, but a learning experience nonetheless. During my time there, I knew for sure I would not be ready to start working. So being the crazy person that I am, I applied for an internship in Colombia, got the job offer and booked a one-way ticket. This was the start of my life's greatest adventure so far and I get nostalgic just by thinking all of the things I experience and how it changed me.
Going back to "real life" after such an unforgetful year takes getting used to. I find myself daydreaming and I'm already planning an even bigger trip for next time.
PHILOSOPHY
Take a chance. Never know what you might find
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Now able to host people although not a lot of people travel here. I am open for meetups too so please do send me a message if you would like to hang out and need a place to crash! I'd like to hear about other people's stories. Humans are like living books - each with a story to tell.
Also, before you send me a request, please take the time to read my profile and tell me why I would be a good host you :) Personal requests are better
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Haven't been couchsurfing much yet really. Still a newbie! I have met a lot of people through this community though and I hope to meet a lot more.
Interests
Travelling, visiting new places, immersing in new cultures and meeting new people.
Languages are also fun to learn. Learning to cook local food is something I appreciate too.
I also really like food! Sometimes, when I am really hungry, even more than people. That's normal, right?
Music, Movies, and Books
Inception, Memento, basically any movie with sick plot twists. Psychological thrillers, oh yeeah :)
A Song of Ice and Fire. Haven't actually been reading a lot of books, but please do recommend any good books that might cross your mind as you are reading this. Preferably something that has changed your way of thinking or inspired you.
Into selfhelp books and personal development.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Gone bungee jumping twice... still alive ^^
Rafting down the River Suarez in San Gil, Colombia was super fun!
My South American backpacking trip. Can't believe I even did it. Now that I'm back it just seems like some dream I had.
Teach, Learn, Share
Open to knew things. Teach me and show me around, could you please!
Teach: Give advice when needed
Learn: Learn from the experiences of others, their culture, their mindset
Share: Share laughter, stories and experiences.
When I meet new people, I'd really like for them to teach me something. Be it a new language, a new dish, exercise and so on. I also like to hear their stories - what made them the person they are today. People are like books with feet, I guess.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think I can be a fun person to be with. I might have a weird sense of humor, but that's better than nothing I guess. I can engage in a wide variety of conversation topics too!
