Traveled Australia & NZ for two years on a working holiday visa and now live in NZ full-time.

I'm a happy person who appreciates the little things and believes in the power of gratitude and good luck. I have a laid-back outlook on life yet I value productivity & enjoy most the people who are pursuing their passions. I am honest, adventurous, confident & curious. I like wordplay, and play, in general.

I aim to soak as much fun out of every experience that I can & to create experiences to maximize the fun potential. I like to pivot my day around catching a sunrise or sunset, an opportunity to sweat a bit, and the unmatched satisfaction of a simply delicious meal.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing and wwoofed my way across New Zealand in my van. New to the couchsurfing online community, though I've hosted a series of friends of friends of friends. I have a string of google docs on advice for different places that I happily send along.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I must be under a lucky Couchsurfing star because my experiences in New Zealand have made me some great friends out of relative strangers. There's a powerful force happening here.

I prefer outside to inside. I like books, dogs, bees, leftovers, pie, hobbies, traditions. I want to talk about what you're reading, what gets you out of bed in the morning and what lights you up. While I certainly enjoy like minded people it is intruiging & comfortable to me if we don't share the same opinions.

I welcome conversations about books always and I welcome reading suggestions. Some favorites include Tom Robbins' "Jitterbug Perfume," "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll, Frank Herbert's "Dune," "All the King's Men" by Robert Penn Warren and "American Gods" by Neil Gaimon. Mega favorites include David Foster Wallace's "Infinite Jest" and Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead." Lately enjoying "Island" by Aldous Huxley.

I'm open to all kinds of music, with a partiality to anything with a wicked bass line. Funk, blues, & classic rock speak to me loudest but if it's got a good beat or I can dance to it, I don't discriminate. Seriously eager to hear new local music.
