Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend Lauren has hosted many couchsurfers in Chicago, and I have had the pleasure of meeting many of them. All great people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love live music, especially improvised music, but I really like an electic variety of bands. Some faves are Phish, Radiohead, Daft Punk, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Ryan Adams, Wilco, the Grateful Dead, Beck, the Beatles, Elliot Smith, etc.

I love books, hence my interest in becoming an English teacher. Favorite Authors: Kurt Vonnegut, George Orwell, JD Salinger, William Shakespeare, Jack Kerouac, Gary Snyder....Any suggestions, let me know!

Movies: Basically the classics
Scorsese, Tarantino, Cohen Bros., Wes Anderson, Kubrick, Big Lebowski, Bittersweet Motel, Star Wars,the Monty Pythons.

TV: Monty Python´s Flying Circus!!, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Simpsons, The Office, Seinfeld.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I slept in the Sahara Desert.
I saw the most amazing display of the Northern Lights on Madeline Island.
I saw Phish and Radiohead in concert.
