About Me
Hey, my name is Shay (as in Shy, but not really am). I was living in Mexico in the last 2 years with my girlfriend, Ximena. A few months ago we quit our jobs so we could travel the world. We started off in South Africa, went through South East Asia, Russia, China, made a stop in Israel and now on our way to Italy and Spain.
- I'm an open minded polyglot (getting to my 6th language now), culture enthusiast, and world citizen.
- Love meeting new people, sharing experiences, traveling, sharing ideas and gaining new perspectives on life.
- I love extreme sports such as snowboarding, skydiving, scuba diving, bungee jumping, motocross riding and anything really that would get me my adrenaline dose.
- I absolutely love reading and think it's the best way to keep yourself on the learning side in any given moment of your live, whether it's business books, professional ones, history, of spirituality.
- I love cooking and even more eating so would be happy to share recipes and cook together with my hosts.(before quitting my job, I started an Israeli cooking course)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Heard a lot of good recommendation about the platform while traveling so I decided to give it a go.
I believe that the best way to travel is by far by hanging around with locals. Always excited to meet new people and share different experiences and life perspectives.
In this period of time I won't be hosting as I have no home but would be happy to do so once I'm back to my routine and have a house (might be any where in the world really).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - my favorite band is most definitely the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I also live listening to a variety of other genres such as Hip Hip, EDM, Salsa, Reggaeton and what ever is good, really.
Movies - my top 3 movies of all times - Inception, LOTR, Saw (1-3),
Books - my top 5: The Alchemist (Paulo Coelho), 48 Laws of Power (Robert Greene), Tools of Titans (Timothy Ferris), Sapiens: A Bried History of Mankind (Y.N Harari) and Why Nations Fails Daron Acemoglu and James Robinso)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
If you have ever did a tandem skydiving, try taking a skydiving course and get your skydiving license, because once you do, your life will never be the same.
Skydiving on your own and trekking (advancing horizontely while free falling) in a 250 km per hour speed, is one of most unique things you can experience in your life :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you how to cook different foods (Middle eastern, Mexican, BBQ, Italian and more...)
Languages - Spanish, English, Russian, Portuguese and Hebrew
