ABOUT ME

What kinds of things would my friends say about me? Well, that really depends who you'd ask. I have a family of friends. Some would say I'm kind of crazy and young at heart. Some would say I'm generous and free spirited. It takes all sorts really. I'm a nerd. I'm a thoughtful, open-minded and inquisitive. I'm smart and creative. I'm laid back and mellow. I'm wild eyed and intense. I love slapstick humor. I'm lewd and inappropriate. But mostly I like to do science and have fun outside and climb mountains.

I was told to say that "I'm an active, educated, adventure type who loves his pet chihuahua more than life itself."

PHILOSOPHY

Do what is right and be joyful in that, don't let fear lead to inaction.

I'm interested in living a good life and in doing my part to contribute to the sustainability of our presence in the environment. I live simply. I recycle. I compost. I try not to buy pre-packages crap. I ride bikes.

Interests

Good conversations with intelligent forward thinking people. Learning and enjoying new experiences. Travel and seeing what this big beautiful world has to offer (though it's mostly been in the Western states). I like to camp and hike and climb mountains. I used to work in kitchens, and I've gotten back into cooking really good things to eat. I run a lot with my dog, she's a bad ass. I play lots of ultimate frisbee and like to throw it long. I make tea and read and lie around. I love hot springs. Want more just ask.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every time I'm on top of a mountain and can see the curvature of the Earth I'm reminded of how vast life is. Then I look up into the night sky at the milky way and beyond and am reminded of how small and insignificant we are. And I think of how brief our experience here in this life is and how precious every moment is and appreciate everyone and everything in my life.

And I was in Switzerland last summer. I went to the Swiss ultimate national championship tournament and picked up on a really cool team, that was awesome and a lot of fun.
