I am a student in the USA, finishing up degrees in Economics, International Business, and Actuarial Science. I spend every amount of free time that I have traveling, or working to get money for my next trip. I have a really strong desire to see the world, I love meeting new people and exploring new places!

I have studied abroad in Austria and Chile and have also spent extensive time in Portugal. Every time I go somewhere new, it just makes my list of places to visit longer! I don't subscribe to the idea of checking a place off my "bucket list" because I dream of going back to every amazing place that I see. The top of my travel to-do list right now is Nepal, Bolivia, New Zealand, Morocco, and Guatemala!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a person who loves traveling "like a local". I hosted exchange students from all over the world when I was growing up, and have now gone to stay with all of them in their own countries. I love being able to live with a family and see how local people really live, rather than just going as a tourist. I want to see the whole world this way!

Interests

I love trying new foods, listening to and playing music, meeting people! I enjoy walking, either hiking through mountains or walking around new cities, and doing yoga. Open-minded and excited to meet new people :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I play the flute and love playing classical and jazz music, but when I listen to music, my favorite is Alternative Rock. My favorite bands are The Killers, Young the Giant, and Cage the Elephant

Movies: I love comedies!

Books: Huge Harry Potter fan. My favorite book is 1984. I also reread the book Tuck Everlasting all the time, even though it is a kids book, because I love the lessons behind it.
