About Me
ABOUT ME
I have visited many places, learned many languages and met many kindred spirits from other parts of the world, but lately find myself amazed by stillness and the slow intertwining of roots that constitutes community building.
There will always be a part of me that wants to travel, but I am also happy now to call Regina home, and deeply grateful for the friendships this stillness has allowed me to cultivate. I look forward to sharing these things with fellow wanderers.
By day (and sometimes night) I work as editor/publisher of Briarpatch Magazine, a scrappy independent publication on issues of social and environmental justice. Outside of work, I spend my time teaching journal-writing classes, nurturing friendships over tea or beer or bonfires or dancing, and walking or running around the streets, parks and alleyways of Regina.
Interests
strolling around my neighbourhood at sunrise, writing, breathing, browsing used book stores, sewing, reading, learning how to build an earthbag sauna, swimming, spoken word, composting with worms, bicycling at dusk, home-grown carrots fresh from the dirt, and puddles
