About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Having fun in Kazakhstan! O.K, maybe not in Kazakhstan, but definitely in Jerusalem!
ABOUT ME
A student, in the full extent of the word. I love learning, and I'm curious about almost anything - from physics and biology to philosophy and psychology, and from computer science to political science. I love reading a lot, both novels (Hemingway, Dostoevsky, Stephen King and Sci-Fi, for example) and other reading materials (magazines, the internet and such). I have a lot of good friends, from different stages in my life and my favorite way to pass time is to spend it with them - talking, going out, staying in, eating, drinking, playing around, dressing funny and shooting weird movies - you name it. I consider my self a fun (and funny, I hope) guy, friendly and talkative (and speaking fluent English), up for partying, going out and meeting new people, and also up for a quiet evening and a good talk. Also, I'm very well informed on local and world politics and news, and always interested in talking about it, and encouraging dialog on various subject, including The Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which as a left-wing Israeli is an important subject to me, and on which I like to encourage and provide a more balanced view.
PHILOSOPHY
I think each of us has responsibility for the people and things in the different spheres around him - family, friends, neighborhood, work place, city, country and the whole planet. We must fulfill our duties towards all of them, and try and make the world around us better.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We, at the apartment, host Couch Surfers from around the world in our new and awesome apartment in Jerusalem's city-center! You are always welcome here!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was hosted for four days in New Delhi by an amazing guy - Hugo D. CHAPARRO-GONZÁLEZ - that showed me some great time and was an enlightening and intelligent conversation partner. He's also vice consul of Paraguay in India, or something like that - which is obviously awesome!
Also, I hosted a ton of surfers in my apartment with my roommates, and we had so much fun! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - recently enjoyed Sleuth, with Michael Caine and Jude Law, and I try to catch up on some oldies like All The President's Men. Also, I'm currently following the TV series The Wire, which is great.
Music - too many to mention, but recently I hear mainly Jazz, Prog Rock, Indie and some Electronic Music. Some of my favorite artists are Bill Evans, Neil Young, The Smiths, Radiohead, Porcupine Tree, Built To Spill, The Shins and Weezer.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
10 days of trekking through the Himalayas with five amazing people, most of the time not seeing other people or signs of civilization, and feeling like you're on the top of the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't consider myself qualified for teaching of anything in particular. I would love learning a little Chess, and other games requiring strategy, and also any kind of martial art. I also know a bit of guitar playing (and even less keyboard playing), and would love to learn how to play any kind of instrument, or improve on those mentioned, as I'm a huge music addict.
