ABOUT ME

I'm a feature writer and editor specializing in underground and counter-culture, spirituality and technology issues. I'm currently the gonzo reporter-at-large for Australian Penthouse and I'm writing for and co-editing Undergrowth magazine online. That's my work, yeh?

I'm pretty funky, open-minded, easy-going, and very friendly. I love meeting people from all walks, but most of all I love a good chat about life, the Big Picture, the fastbreeding times we live in and what the hell we can do to surf the waves of change! I'm uber creative and love hanging round with like-minded souls wanting to paint the town a fractaling shade of red.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just joined CS2 on the bequest of my world-wandering ex-housemate, and I'm open to sharing our couch here in the Byron Bay shire of NSW (the hippie capital of Australia) to like-minded souls. We're a tribal living house and another traveler is always welcome!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mmmm, gee, i've couchsurfed a lot in my youth and I even lived on a couch in Toronto for three months in a 1-bedroom apartment with three others, and managed to stay sane and friends!

Movies: The Fountain. 2001: A space odyssey. Sunshine. Sci-fi. Planet of the Apes (classic). Kitsch blaxploitation films. The Mighty Boosh (comedy).
Books: I read lots of non-fic for writing research; most books are, sadly, airport novels these days. I like funky underground writers with something to say (and I've edited a few see undergrowth.org/e_books)
Music: I really dig the Beach Boys. Yes, seriously. And all those other bleeding-edge bands that defined their zeitgeists. Now I did global beats ambient funky electro thrash and of course, retro-disco.
