Overview
About Me
My friends would say I'm fun, positive, and enthusiastic. I am eager to learn about the rest of this world. The people, the cultures, the languages, to experience the feeling of being somewhere new, and to make memories.
I currently teach in South Auckland, and am building my career. Being a teacher does mean that I get quite a bit of time off to explore local places and meet new people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people from around the world and to share experiences.
Interests
I am really interested in intersectional feminism, social and political issues around education and indigenous people. I also really enjoy a good wine and cheese evening, or just a good movie on a rainy night. Over the summer you can find me at a local beach, and in the winter up in the slopes!

Music, Movies, and Books
I started reading for pleasure again last year, - after spending 5 years reading for university! You can find me on Goodreads to see what I'm currently reading: https://bit.ly/2FvBaFz
I am really enjoying the New Zealand music scene right now, we have a lot of talent in the folk/indie genre.
Finn Andrews, The Veils, Nadia Reid, Marlon Williams, Aldous Harding, Tiny Ruins, French for Rabbits, Eb & Sparrow, Tami Neilson are a few!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Totally depends on the context of a discussion, there are quite a few amazing places I've seen, people I've met, and things I've learnt.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're in the area I would love to show you a couple of sweet spots in Auckland. I can recommend some beautiful walks, cool bars, kitsch restaurants, and interesting spots.
What I Can Share with Hosts
An enthusiasm to learn and engage with local culture and language, and maybe a good bottle of wine. Happy to tell stories about life at home.
