About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see how long I can travel before going broke :-)

ABOUT ME

I'm friendly and independent, sociable and like meeting new people. I like to plan things so that means I like finding fun things for my couchsurfers to do and making sure they have a good time :-) I really like meeting other travelers.

PHILOSOPHY

It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness (this phrase works for everything!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am only interested in meeting travellers wanting to stay with me, I'm NOT interested in dating/meeting up with men/chatting with men on cs.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love to travel, and started couch surfing in August 2011. I hosted a lot of surfers in Palestine, and did some couchsurfing myself in Israel.

Interests

Well I'm interested in travel obviously :-) Also I love the beach, museums, cafes and talking to new people. At home I just hang out with my friends & boyfriend, listening to music, go bike riding or to the beach, and going to the park to read the newspaper a lot. I also love baking. And eating baked treats (hence the amount of time I spend in cafes).

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite book is 'A Fortunate Life' by AB Facey and then 'Shake Hands with the Devil' by Romeo Dallaire; 'The Happiest Refugee' and then anything written by adventure novelist Desmond Bagley back in the 70's. Favourite movie is 'City of God' but anything funny is always a hit with me especially if it has Steve Martin in it. Music - I love Kimbra, the Cat Empire, Sarah Blasko, John Lennon, Queen, and the list goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 14 and my sister was 19 we hitchhiked across from Argentina across the Andes to Chile to go white water rafting in Pucon. She's a good sister :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach really bad slang words in 'Aussie'. That is about the extent of my specialised skill set!
