I am a single mom of two great kids who are college age now. ( I cant change the profile that says I'm 18) They are in and out, and I am a little more free to travel and host. I currently live in a very small uneventful town and this gives me a chance to host people who are passing through. I just had my first guest and it was a great experience. I love to travel and have been out of the country a good bit am am looking forward to expanding my list! My daughter and I sing. I live in the country in a very peaceful space. We love animals and host a few on a daily basis :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people which I don't get to do unless I travel. I have been on a a tight budget before and know what it feels like to just need a good place to stay the night. I feel like it's a peaceful place out here and if you love nature you will feel comfortable here. We try to offer those good 'ole Southern manners when hosting. The town I'm in is very uneventful but is close to the coast (30 minutes) and Savannah and Jacksonville, which we frequent often. I am looking forward to surfing myself very soon!

Interests

I love trying new things and working with my hands. Life is so much more interesting when I'm learning about others culture. Even when I have had the financial means to stay in nicer hotels I have opted to stay in remote, simple places. I ( Now a luxury hotel is nice sometimes though ya'll) I have been trying to learn Spanish and notice that its always easier to pick it up when I am around it. I love DIY projects. I sing and play the keyboard and guitar and write music as well. The ocean is my favorite place :)
