ABOUT ME

Thanks to two French guys I met on a beach in India while travelling alone in India, I got completely excited about backpacking around the world on my own and have been lucky enough to cover a few very beautiful countries, and I hope the run continues..

I believe in karma, and love the beauty of life in the awesome surprises it brings up from time to time. In short, I'm a dreamer ( I know I'm not the only one... )

PHILOSOPHY

Live like there's no tomorrow. I dont believe in planning for the future by making the present miserable, I believe I should look back at every year that passes and say " That was one hell of a year "

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had been involved with CS from university when I still didn't have a couch ( and was very happy to attend CS meetings regularly, and to show someone around if they were happy to hang ). In London, I and my friend Prashanth ( check in references for profile ) have hosted few times over the weekends at our house but admittedly not as much as we'd like to because of my working hours on weekdays.

Now I hope to surf in Europe while on my cycling sojourn and take more from the community, and definitely give back when I reach India finally.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been a very satisfying experience on CS, which in my opinion is a forum where I have always managed to meet travellers with wanderlust whom I could always exchange stories with glee and go back really happy. I'm very happy how the group is getting bigger and bigger, making the world a much friendlier place to live in.

Movies: I love the SethRogen-JasonSegel-Judd Apatow associated movies so much, super hilarious bunch of guys. In world cinema, it would be Motorcycle Diaries, Voces Inocentes, Cinema Paradiso, Le Diner De Cons, Goodbye Lenin etc. Lately however, I have been watching only feel-good movies by the dozen.

Music: Pretty much everything.Right now, I'm very interested in indie/electronic/ambient/acoustic.Kings of Convenience, Afrocubism, Work Drugs, Toro Y Moi, Gold Panda, Buena Vista Social Club, Belle and Sebastian, Washed out etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Collecting Alfaroba beans on a hot summer day near Tavira in Portugal while surfing Jo´s couch. Having been used to a cubicle job for a long long time, this was an amazing experience I will never forget and how much it taught me.

And in the last year, attending San Miguel Primavera Sound in Barcelona this year was a dream come true and I had seen most of my favourite bands I had been worshipping in India perform before my eyes :)

The most amazing thing I've seen is the city of Cusco, I first saw it in the movie " The Art of Travel " and exclaimed but never bothered finding out the name of the city from the movie. When I landed up in the city in mid 2011, I was lost for words on looking around me and seeing the beautiful architecture and cobbled streets. Should I get the chance to go back to South America, I'm definitely staying there for a while...
