Overview
About Me
I work in outdoor education with a focus on socio-emotional learning. More recently, I’ve been living and working in the northern Sierra Nevadas near the Lakes Basin area, but my heart really belongs to San Francisco as I’ve lived in and around there for the past 7 years.
I am my best self in front of a good plate of food — I love noodles, spicy flavors, and pocket foods (dumplings, anyone?)
A lot of my time is spent thinking about plastics, especially single use-items, and how best to avoid them. I have yet to achieve a zero-waste lifestyle but am always looking for ways to better myself and the environment and completely cut plastics out of my life!
I wouldn’t say I invest myself in too many big hobbies but I like spending time in the outdoors ... hiking, biking, rock climbing, and camping are things I return to frequently. I also enjoy puzzles, practicing the guitar, journaling, and watching movies.

Music, Movies, and Books
Live music is really fun, the last show I attended was: Marty O’Reilly and the Old Soul Orchestra
Also on shuffle is Hozier, the Lumineers, Frank Ocean, Maggie Rogers, and Kendrick’s latest, DAMN.
Favorite movies/shows include Parks and Rec, the Office, Freaks and Geeks, Flight of the Conchords, Amelie, the Hunt for the Wilderpeople, the Big Lebowski, LOTR trilogy, Captain Fantastic, and most of Miyazaki’s works
Last good read was 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami and Kim Heacox’s The Only Kayak
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This one time I met and went shopping with Dr. Sylvia Earle. She really is a sweetheart.
