ABOUT ME

I've lived in 15 different places in my so far short life. I've always been a busy, on the go kind of girl, and the only thing constant in my life is change..I was bitten by the travel bug almost 5 years ago when I ventured to Turks & Caicos in the Caribbean solo to work on a resort..First time on a plane, first time out of North America.. I was only 19, and the slight fear of not having a clue what was going to happen excited me.

After spending 4 incredibly dull years being tied down to college in Ottawa, Canada I received my degree in Hotel & Restaurant management. I went to NYC for one week to celebrate. The day I was supposed to fly home, I just didn't. I decided to stay in this magical city and find a way to make a life here.

Flash forward almost two years, and I have successfully managed to move my entire life on a whim with no real sense of direction or plan. (Except wanting to explore and eat as much as possible- Where else can you find food from every culture on the planet at your fingertips?) It began working for a celebrity chef whos company was kind enough to sponsor me for my visa, and has left me currently managing a French restaurant on the Upper West Side. I'd love to end up doing the above in Paris at some point in the very near future.

I am a working-class princess who likes to spoil her self, explore this city, cook, but can't drive or ever be on time if my life depended on it.

I'm definitely a people person. I love to eat/try new things, (I am obsessed with eating if you haven't figured that out yet) and discover new wines. My goal is to actually own my own restaurant by 30! In the meantime, I hope to travel the world and take in as much as I can of this amazing but questionable thing called life.

I participate by not only seeking the amazing opportunities to travel and meet interesting people along the way, but I also participate by offering my couch for people to surf, in hopes there are people out there who would love to visit the capital of the world :)
