Hi there! Before you proceed reading my profile, let me just tell you that Couchsurfing is NOT, in any way, Tinder or OK Cupid. This platform is for travelers who wants to see the world by hanging out (or not hanging out) with a local, merging themselves into the culture and let's face it, looking for a local stay (cos we care more about paying for a boat ride to a magical island than to some fancy hotel and local cultural exchange is awesome!)

My name is Sheen. I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines and currently based in the UAE. I'm an Aircraft Mechanic by profession while doing a few businesses on the side - I’m a personal shopper abroad and managing a travel agency! I am also a licensed AIDA freediver and a SCUBA diver. In 2015, I started doing mountaineering in the Philippines, we have 3,500 mountains but of course I wasn't able to finish them all! Alongside, I have travelled on super low budget around the Philippines - we have 82 cities/municipalities to go to and we are an archipelago so mostly, you need a plane or a boat to reach each one. I urge every person to come visit my beautiful country Philippines when they get a chance!

Right now, I am based in Al Ain, UAE. I travel once in a while — I have a full-time job that I also enjoy, so I still don’t see myself as a travelling nomad who still earns money (but I wish to do so!)

BY THE WAY, I AM PROUDLY A MAMA to my lovely boy Matteo. Sometimes, I travel alone and sometimes we travel as a family. :) my son got my adventure heart!

And like every wandering soul, it is surely my dream to travel to every country in the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered CS last December 2015.

I am here because I want to get connected with different kinds of people from various cultures and learn something new about their country, language, cuisine, traditions, etc.

Since I also dreamt of travelling the whole world, I am pretty sure this app will help me for so many times to infuse myself with the places I would go to. I will be very happy to meet new friends!

I LOVE THE KARAOKE!
I sing in a band back in college. I can play basic piano and guitar too! Our family is inclined to music, all of us can sing, Filipino families are usually fond of singing.
