About Me
ABOUT ME
Just a guy from Texas hoping to see and know the world
After college, I spent one year studying abroad in Taiwan to learn the un-learnable, but ever-lovable language of Mandarin.
Currently, I live in Nanjing, where I (attempt to) counsel high- schoolers on essay-writing and life-ruminating.
PHILOSOPHY
T.B.D.
- my naive belief and hope that life and identity are and should never be entirely static.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My freshman year of college, a globe-trekking Frenchman in a soup kitchen in Houston opened my eyes to couchsurfing. I haven't had a chance to actually surf yet, but some of the first and best friends I made in Taiwan were people I met at CS events, and I've also had an awesome time hosting CSers in Nanjing.
Interests
music (listening, watching, discovering, jamming), basketball, frisbee, food, getting lost in cities, naps, board games, humming, over-using hyphens

Music, Movies, and Books
Hoop Dreams
Haruki Murakami
Dead Poets' Society
Music-wise, I'm pretty open-minded. Anything with a funky, foot-tapping bass-line, or songs with soul and/or a harmonica will get me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-climbing up Snow Mountain in Taiwan, all the while thinking my lungs were going to burst. Finally, cuddling with my classmates in a fantastic pile of warmth at the frigid peak.
