CURRENT MISSION
Live, laugh, love, learn...
ABOUT ME
I like to collect experiences and stories, and I try to write about them. My personality alternates between kind of shy and quiet to really outgoing and curious. I like finding small hole-in-the-wall type places to eat or shop or especially drink coffee. I like hiking, I've never been really camping but I know I need to go at some point. I'm planning on going on a major road trip around the country. Maybe two, one in the winter to see the south and then one in the summer to see the north and Alaska. :)
PHILOSOPHY
Hmm, I want to experience everything in its original, natural form. I don't wear make-up or use lots of perfume or anything, I wear clothes from thrift shops or gifts from friends. And I like learning other languages so that I can read a book in that language because I know that things really do get lost in translation.
My environmental views are more along the line of trying to live on less, before looking for more sources of energy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just started. If I get my own place, I'll let people couch surf there. For now I'm willing to hang out and meet people. I speak Chinese and French, so if anyone comes speaking those languages, I would love to meet you and show you around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't officially couchsurfed, but I've traveled around and stayed on friends couches. I usually stay in youth hostels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacked in China. I left my credit card at my dorm where I was studying abroad, took a 43-hour train to Chengdu, rode the scary bus to Jiuzhaigou and back, then train to Chongqing, and spent three days on a boat from there through the Three Gorges... I started out with a Japanese classmate but she headed back early so from Chongqing on I was on my own. And everywhere I went I met really nice people.
Teach, Learn, Share
Share: Like calls to like. For some reason when I travel, something helps me find people like me or like my friends at home.
Learn: How can I meet more people who are not so like me? I want to learn in as many ways as possible.
