About Me

CURRENT MISSION

living out my dreams one day at a time

ABOUT ME

Not sure what I want to do for the rest of my life but adventuring the world peaks at the top of my list. I consider myself pretty easy-going if somewhat awkward ^_____^ I'm a pretty curious creature, I admire beauty in all forms and I really appreciate the little things in life!!!
I'm a huge art fan, especially contemporary art/ street art/ typography poems/ graffiti.
I have recently discovered that I am in love with linguistics/ languages and etymology.
I'm graduating university this December and I'm thinking about teaching English abroad, probably Korea or Taiwan
My past times include biking, cooking, pole dancing and reading, reading inane amounts of information on the internet
Fave colour: purple, turquoise
Favourite word(s): petrichor, syzygy, soliloquy, phantasmagoria, apothegm

PHILOSOPHY

who are you really?
you're not a name or a height or a weight
you are not an age and you are not where you are from

you are your favourite books and the songs stuck in your head
you are your thoughts and what you eat for breakfast
on saturday mornings

you are a thousand things but everyone chooses
to see the million things you are not

you are not where you are from
you are where you are going
and i'd like
to go there
too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted one person so far in France and surfed in Switzerland, France, Italy, Turkey, Czech Republic, Poland and Sweden!
Sorry no couch to spare right now, if you're looking in Ottawa I could probably find you someone though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Best Couchsurfing experience so far: my good friend Maxime and I planned a roadtrip down the west coast of france. Our first destination was Nantes en Bretagne. We arrived very late at night due to some unforseen circumstances and our couchsurfing host we had originally planned to stay at told us his roommate had scabies... okay, thankfully another host offered to us but he sais ' sorry I am not home right now but you can grab the key off my neighbour'.
Wow the trust you must have to let complete strangers into your home without even meeting them!! We slept the night and visited Nantes during the day... later that evening we came back to our couchsurfing hosts house to meet him. He lived in an upstairs apartment and low and behold, he had 5 other couchsurfers drinking wine and eating snacks with him all the same age as maxime and I ! (yves was older than us) WE passed the night drinking very delicious wine and sharing stories. LAter on Yves busted out his guitar and we had a sing along! SO COOL, I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS TRIP.
