Indonesian 🇮🇩 life in Chiang Mai 🇹🇭 since August 2024

When I was 10, my weekends were spent wearing colorful kebaya, with my hands gracefully moving to the beat of gamelan music. 🎶
I was a traditional Indonesian dancer. For years, I danced on stages big and small, telling stories with every step and sway. It was more than just a hobby, it was my world!

But life has its twists and turns. After high school, I traded my dancing costumes for a wearpack and safety shoes, diving into the world of electrical engineering. ⚡
It wasn’t exactly glamorous, but I loved solving problems, figuring out how things worked, and bringing ideas to life.

Then, I took on my most challenging role yet: joining Indonesia’s National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas). 🛟
Imagine this: rushing into danger when others run away. My job was to save lives, whether it was during floods, earthquakes, ship/airplane accident or other emergencies. It was intense, heartbreaking, and rewarding all at once.

Yet, deep down, I felt something was missing. I craved freedom, the kind where I could wake up in a new city, meet people from all walks of life, and share stories over coffee. ☕

So, I made the boldest move of my life. I left the stable career, the 9-to-5 schedule, and the predictable life.
I slow travel, meet incredible people, and feel inspired by their journeys. ✨
