I don't like to sit still. If I stay in one place for too long, I get antsy and feel like I'm missing the rest of the world.

So I travel. I visit new places. I move to new countries and explore new cultures.

Some days it's exciting. Some days are like all the others. But it's my life and I love it.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

January 2012.
I was sitting on the Great Wall of China and it hit me. I had done it. Five months before I had decided to quit my job and move abroad to teach English. I knew I wanted to end up in China although I really had no idea where I was going to teach or when I was going to start teaching. In November 2011, I boarded a plane bound for Thailand where I would take a month long TEFL course. After that, I would country hop for a few months and then eventually come to China where I would job search and ideally find a job. Well I got to China at the beginning of January and within two weeks, I had secured a job to start teaching at the beginning of February.
At the end of January though, I was visiting Beijing before I started teaching and it was then that I went to visit what is for most people the symbol of China. If anyone had asked me ten years ago or even five years ago that I would be moving to China to teach English, I would have told them they are crazy. Yet, there I was.
