Hi there! Born in Florida but moving about. I'm a journalist and currently work as a business reporter. I love yoga, music and cooking. I'm always cooking and baking for my friends and hope to one day open a cafe. My main life passion is to travel and explore this crazy earth. I like to experience life open ended and go with the flow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently joined couchsurfing because I think it's amazing way to meet new people and discover new parts of the world while traveling. I tend to follow where life takes me and because of that seem to always be doing things last minute. I'm on couchsurfing to help with accommodations since I am not good at planning or researching ahead for hostels or hotels.

Interests

I grew up with an appreciation for music and it's a big part of my life. I love going to concerts and dancing the night away. I'm always interested in new band recommendations because I have an eclectic taste in music. My next biggest love is cooking and good foods. I have an autoimmune disease that I treat with special diet so I developed a passion for making healthy, and tasty, recipes. I've never been into traditional sports. I am a devout yogi and teach beginner lessons. I also scuba dive. Growing up on the beaches of South Florida gave me an intense interest in ocean life. Other then that I recently got into hiking. I'm a novice and dream of doing a major trek one day!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: rock, reggae, ska, funk, jazz, blues... Those are the favorites but I'll listen to everything under the sun. Especially if there's a brass section :)

Movies: I've never been big into movies. I like documentaries, action and the occasional satire comedy.

Books: Historical fiction is my favorite but I read just about anything I can get my hands on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know what's the most amazing thing I've done, but my favorite was going to Nepal and becoming a yoga instructor there. It was one of the best experiences of my life!

I'm a bomb ass cook. I've got great stories to share and open to hear yours. I can also teach some yoga if your interested. Mostly, I can just come into your home with an open mind and heart filled with appreciation for you providing my a little space of your life :)
