About Me
Howdy, my name's Shelby and I'm just a dingus that has a weird sense of humor, is always down for fun, and doesn't know much about the hardware and mechanics but really likes bicycles.
I would get verified on this site but that costs $25 and I'm poor at the moment*makes fart noises*, so if you'd like, I can always meet beforehand if I'm already in your area. I'd would much rather spend $25 on a nice meal for some drinks tbh
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently only using this site for when I take on temporary jobs and have to travel for them.
I believe in karma and giving back to the community that once helped me, so I will work/cook/whatever in exchange for housing and/or whatever you are willing to provide. My house was once an open door space and I hope to find more places like that with awesome people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm trying to become braver every single day and learn new skills after coming out strong from terrible living situations and abuse.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this country's shitty government and the social constructs it builds. Plus, talking about where to go, what to eat, where to stay, who to meet, whatever is always beneficial!
We can cook together and share stories about crazy people we've met or our family or whatever. Or I can leave you alone and stay pretty quiet, whichever you prefer!
I would be more than happy to work, clean, cook, and do whatever you might need in exchange for my stay (within reason, of course, no weird stuff).
What I Can Share with Hosts
rad music taste, corny jokes, intellectual conversations about the patriarchy and social constructs, comix, anti-oppressive and anarchist viewpoints, work trade, meals, little doodles and handmade stickers, facts about random things that aren't even that important
