Hi there! I'm Shelby. I'm from the American South, but I currently live in Seattle. I've lived in cities from Edinburgh to Lucknow and Lahore, and I moved to the Pacific Northwest to pursue my master's degree in International Studies at the University of Washington. I'm now working on my PhD in Sociocultural Anthropology.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a student and a stand-up comedian, our budget is super tight, and we'd be so grateful for space to (quietly, cleanly, kindly) sleep on your couch or floor with as little or as much interaction as you're comfortable with! We are both fully vaccinated and boosted. If you're ever in Seattle, you're more than welcome to stay with us, as long as you don't mind hanging out with our dog, Maggie, and cat, Neko.
