ABOUT ME
Amy - After graduating from college I spent a year and half working in a job I didn't like and that wasn't in my desired field. I've now quit my job and starting the end of May 2005 my boyfriend, Josh, and I will be traveling around the US for about 6 months. Josh just graduated from the University of IL in December 2004.
Our trip was awesome and we will always look back on all our memories and photos and journals wishing we could be back out on the road again (and maybe someday, we will).
We also are very into the bicycling community in Grand Rapids. We organize the Colorburst Bicycle Tour that raised $14,000 for charity and we do a bi-weekly urban bicycle ride called PedalGR, http://www.pedalgr.com.
We may have a spare bicycle in our stable for your to borrow.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During the summer of 2003 Josh and some friends rode their bicycles across the US and during that time were occasionally taken in my churches and families. I joined him for about a week and was amazed at how giving some people are to total strangers.
We also spent 6 months traveling the USA from 5/05-11/05. We met lots of neat people through this website, all of whom are listed as our friends in our profile. It was an awesome experience, especially the week we spent in Portland with Clark and Kacia.

Josh - riding across the USA on a bicycle. Check it out at www.roadshowusa.org
Amy and Josh - riding down the coast of Oregon on a bicycle, and surviving 6 months on the road in the same car with only 5 days apart. That's pretty frickin' amazing if you ask me. :)
