to return the beautiful energy I have received from other couchsurfers
ABOUT ME
Hey there! So... I am FUN, always on a sugar-high, fully engaged with living and taking deeper breaths and trying to be present in each moment. Currently, I am also confused: in a kind of middle place, doing work with my hands and my voice, yet bobbing up and down, not sure how long to stay where, if it's okay to endlessly travel... When I am not traveling, I am teaching creative writing and spending time in nature. I love seeing the world, whether it be another continent, or the little towns that I still haven't fully explored in my own state. I really enjoy meeting people who are excited about life. I love taking my time, driving or biking or walking through towns and states and countries is my preferred means of travel. Flying over so many people and places is so disorienting for me. I like taking pictures of small things and big things and people! I love hearing people's travel stories, it offers so much perspective when we forget that life is not just our own experience.
PHILOSOPHY
"Free your mind and your booty will follow" - Parliament Funkadelic :)
"If I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution" - misquoted but inspired by Emma Goldman
I believe life should be spent putting as much good energy into the world as you can. Life is about relationships - with the self, with others, with nature. Leaving people and places in a cleaner, clearer state than when you arrived - meaning through authentic connection, we can help each other find our truths, we can manifest ourselves in front of each other! I find the Couchsurfing community to be unlike any other group of people I've met - I always feel a real connection, because we cut away the unnecessary surface-level approaches and get to the heart of it - meeting each other right where we're at, knowing we're all on the path, learning each other's experience of the world. This is the root for all empathy. Let's travel together and let our souls intertwine ~~~
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted a few times when I had my own apartment, and I loved it, but the majority of my CS experience has been through the generosity of my hosts. I am so grateful for my hosts, they make it possible for me to travel! I love fostering community in any way I can - and finding community while on the road is so joyful.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed through Peru (Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Puno), on trips in Mexico and Texas, and on round-trip road trips from Illinois to New Mexico, Illinois to New Orleans, Illinois to Colorado, Massachusetts to New Orleans, and Massachusetts to California.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy many kinds of music (folk, reggae, dub, funk, blues, Zeppelin, ambient, trip hop, hip hop, grunge, gypsy, bluegrass, cabaret, experimental, soul, Billie Holiday, Fiona Apple, Ray Charles, India Arie, ETC).
I like poetry and flash fiction. Some of my favorite movies are Revolutionary Road, The New World, I Heart Huckabees, and Grey Gardens.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Here's two: I hiked up Maccu Piccu and I survived high school.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about myself! through introspection. I could share with you ways to engage with your inner self. I like having vulnerable conversations in which we learn more about our own truths through the truths of others.
I could teach you... about the significance of getting oil changes in your car (it's significant). How to make a cup of tea and how to drink it. How to make the best out of everything. How to feel all the feelings. How to turn your stories into poems.
I want to learn more about farming, always more about writing, about far-away lands, how to bind my own books. I would like to learn how to let go of things (I keep everything as a keepsake), and how to let go of the past (I keep everything as a keepsake).
