ABOUT ME
In May 2010 I graduated from Acadia University (Wolfville, Nova Scotia) with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Psychology and a minor in Bioolgy. As a 21 year-old recent graduate, I decided to try on my traveling shoes and hop across the pond for the first time (aka my first treck over to Europe). For June, July and August, 2010 I lived in Torino, Italy as an Au Pair for an AMAZING family. Here I lived in a beautiful Villa in the mountains just outside downtown Torino. We spent a lot of time in Noli as well at the summer home, where I got to swim in some of the most beautiful coast line in the world and appreciate the vibe of a small village. Duringg the summer I had the chance to do a bit of travelling within Italy. A friend (and fellow couch surfer) and I travelled around the Tuscan region, couch surfing, camping and hosteling. Throughout the summer, I spent many nights on back patios drinking farmers wine, enjoying pasta feasts and bbqs, camping in the mountins near France at music festivals, and enjoying the nighlife of the Murazzi River.
Currently, I am working as a Citizen Services Officer for Service Canada, a federal goverenment department for Canada. I am looking to plan another trip across the pond for June 2011 and decided couch surfing would be a great way to start! I am planning on about a 3 to 4 week trip. During this time I will visit friends from Canada who now live in Europe, friends I've met last summer, and hopefully some new couch surfing experiences!
I am returning back to shcool in September 2011 to complete a Masters of Arts in Health Promotion at Dalhousie University.
I am a fun-loving, easy going person, who enjoys the company of other humourous, light hearted people. I am not too much into the touristy-oriented activties when travelling, but rather the hidden gems of city.
In a nut shell: In search for nice weather, good wine, great people, and a few laughs.
