ABOUT ME

I love being a wife and a mom. I'm energetic, bubbly, can-be awkward, am horrible at remembering names, I play prelude at my church every Sunday, am addicted to Pinterest. My dad owned a construction company all my growing up so I learned at a very young age to work hard. I am a Type A personality, and blurt out odd things sometimes- sometimes forgetting to screen out TMI things for people. I'm not a very private person and see every new person as a new friend!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to follow Jesus Christ as best I can. I fail a lot. But I try. Not everything in the Bible makes 100% sense to me all the time, but just because I get confused at points does not mean somethings nonsensical (take a new board game's rule book for example. I am confused the entire first game! haha) I disagree with a lot of stuff that people do, but I disagree more when people are mean because they disagree.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never been! My husband and I got our tax return last spring and said "Let's book a flight to LA for our 5 year anniversary!" then the money ran out and we're still LA bound! haha so we would prefer not to sleep on the beach while we're there.

Interests

Skin care and cosmetic application (obviously- I'm a Mary Kay Lady!), following Jesus Christ's teaching, raising kids to be self reliant, beading jewelry, flying, chocolate, new things I've never heard of are always interesting, history, different cultures fascinate me, documentaries, sit coms, pilates, autumn.

The Notebook, The Emporor's New Groove, Milo and Otis, Mulan, Firefly and Serenity, Frasier.
Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Twilight (NOT the movies the books), The Host.
Anything peppy and upbeat usually toots my horn for music. Country, classical and techno are also good bets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw my dad as his life left him. I seen our giant barn burn to the ground against the night sky. That was impressive. I've lived in NYC for a few months waiting for my then boyfriend to propose;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love helping people find a perfect skin care routine or teaching them how to apply that one cosmetic that has always confused them. I think that's so great! Mostly because it's what I'm actually good at:) I like to teach dogs tricks. Before we had kids I would line up all three of our dogs and teach them basic stuff and it was a lot of fun! I also love passing on cheapskate tips. It drives me nuts when people waste money!
