I consider myself to be laid-back and open-minded person who loves to learn of new ideas. I feel that we have this lifetime to learn as much as we can, and I feel that traveling and seeing the world is one of the best ways to do this. I must apologize in advance for my unique and interesting sense of humor ;). My humor is like the Sahara at night: at times it can be very dry, but it is teeming with life... great analogy.

Want to meet new people, give them a place to stay, and perhaps learn something new with each couchsurfer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A bit of hosting and a bit of surfing. Love seeing new places and meeting new people and getting a local’s perspective.

Haven’t been able to host for a while, but hoping to do more hosting soon. Had a lull due to home conditions and Covid.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It’s such a rad idea. It’s much more of an authentic way to travel. I’ve been blessed with great experiences thus far.

Interests

I’m very interested in Life, humanity, and our relationships with each other. Morality seems to be closely tied to our relationships with not just one another, but also all living beings.

I find joy in being in Nature and other outdoor activities such as hiking, and am open to try interesting new things. I also love hanging out with a beer and watching a local band or just having a good conversation. When I'm not working, I love spending time bettering myself, wandering in nature, or with my friends, family, by myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Any movies that provoke thought.

Music:
I enjoy nearly every genre of music, but am partial to nearly all sub-genres of rock, as well as instrumental music.

Books:
Both nonfiction and fiction. Biographies. Anything that provokes deeper thought (ex. Universe in a Single Atom).
I love visual books of nature and the earth (they are nature porn, haha)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Sang atop of Zion.
-Drank a beer with my feet dangling over the Grand Canyon.
-Visited Stonehenge for the summer solstice.
-Studied abroad in The Netherlands.
-Fell asleep in the U.S. Capitol while Congress was in session... twice!
-Road trips across USA.
-Road-trip through Vietnam mountains.

Teach, Learn, Share

We have just this life to share. We must be willing to close our mouths and listen to others if we truly have a desire to learn new ideas.

I always try to be mindful and respectful of others, so that everyone can be a teacher to me. We can learn something from every human, if we will listen.
