I grew up in a small town on the west coast of Canada.
My whole family loves to travel... the passion for seeing new places, trying new things and meeting new people is truly in my blood.
Being outdoors - especially in nature - makes me happy.
I was extremely shy growing up, although you'd never know it now. It's mostly been through travelling - usually solo - that I've overcome this.

I'm on couch surfing because I love meeting new people, hearing the crazy stories that all travellers have to tell, and learning about different places, people, and cultures.

I am not currently living in a place suitable for hosting, but I hope to one day be able to share my home with other travellers!

A wise man once told me that "culture shock" only happens when one returns to one's home...

When you move or travel to a new country, you expect everything to be different - that's half the appeal of travelling - so it doesn't surprise you when it is. When you go home, you expect everything to be the same as how you left it... and maybe in reality it is, but to you it will be forever changed. The way you look at places and people and events, it'll be as if through new eyes. It makes you question many things you once took as truth. You think differently - feel differently - about what you experience and learn everyday. Nothing's changed, and yet everything is different.
