We are recent college graduates backpacking through Europe and are looking forward to expanding our horizons. We are both seasoned outdoorsmen, and love backpacking, hiking, camping and participating in every other outdoor sport we are presented with. We are both very invested in experiencing the world from an authentic, local point of view.

(Zach) I have been an artist since my childhood, and my favorite medium is ceramics. I have been fortunate enough to pursue pottery for 8 years, and I would love to share everything I know. I find my greatest inspiration in nature and the outdoors, and am also looking forward to experiencing European city life.

(Sheridan) I recently graduated with my degree in journalism, and will be documenting our journey on social media and a personal blog. My goal is to someday be an environmental journalist and write stories about the earth and our relationship to it. I am interested in appreciating both the natural and urban sides of all our destinations.

Although we haven't had the opportunity to earn many reviews yet, we promise we are both respectful guests and will honor your space and hospitality. Opening your home to strangers is a risk we do not take lightly, and are happy to prove ourselves as pleasant and respectful guests.

Zach's favorite movie is Interstellar, because it's an introspective and enlightening look into the resilience of the human spirit. Zach's favorite book is Desert Solitaire.

Sheridan's favorite movie is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, because it portrays the freedom found in truly living, rather than merely existing. Sheridan's favorite book is Braiding Sweetgrass.

We both love to read, and are thinking of doing a book exchange during our travels. The idea is we will each start a book, and when we have finished we will swap books with any local or person we meet. We think this is a great way to further get to know the individual people we will encounter, as well as expose us to books we may never have read otherwise.

We both love music, especially 70s rock, alternative and folk. Some of our favorite collective artists include Fleetwood Mac, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Hozier, Caamp, Mt. Joy, Marty Robbins, Phoebe Bridgers and the Doors.

(Zach): I have had the amazing opportunity to travel to every state in the U.S., starting at just 7 years old. My family prioritized travel for my entire life, and the urge to always be on the go has never left me, but my proudest accomplishment is exhibiting my artwork in multiple recognized galleries in Texas.

(Sheridan): Adventure wise, I lived out of my car for a month and drove all around the United States to visit the National Parks, including a skydiving experience in Montana. But what I'm most proud of is for my work volunteering at an ancient Indigenous rock art site and helping to make Native American history more accessible to Indigenous communities.

Between the two of us, we can help teach English, as well as basic art (drawing and watercolor) and photography.

We would love to share our knowledge and experience of the American southwest and cowboy culture for any who are interested.

We can also teach you how to make some of our favorite meals!
