Overview
About Me
I am a renaissance woman with many interests and skills and a diverse background. Right now, I am the mostly-stay-at-home mother of a wonderful homeschooling teenage daughter, Miriam. I have been a museum educator, a mental health counselor, a writer, and more. I am happiest when out in nature, listening to music, and just generally exploring the wonders of being human on this beautiful planet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just learned about couch surfing from Miriam, who is discovering a passion for travel. I have always wanted to travel more myself, so Miriam and I are excited to have some adventures together. We both love to meet new people so are eager to host and be hosted! I am also passionate about creating a new, more sustainable economy in which people share freely and where money isn't so important in order to have a good life. I love that couch surfing enables people to share their homes and gifts with each other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent my whole lifetime evolving into an ever healthier, more joyful version of myself!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to share my experiences with literature, writing, education, and psychotherapy.
I have started learning about wild plants and how we can partner with them for food and medicine, and would love to learn more.
Miriam, my teenage daughter and fellow traveler, is passionate about many things and loves to discuss topics such as travel, community, different ways of life throughout cultures and times, and the relationship between humans and other species (particularly dogs).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food; gardening or cleaning help; editing or advice on writing; wisdom about parenting, conscious evolution, new/old ways of living sustainably, and more.
Miriam can make custom artwork, and share her observations about human/animal relationships. She'd also be happy to walk and help care for any family dogs, and both of us love to play with kids.
