About Me

Quiet (except when I'm humming or singing), easy-going, compassionate, intelligent, and creative.

Calm, kind, and clear.

I don't know. Look at me. Tell me what you see.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people from all over the world. I want to learn about different cultures, different ways of seeing the world, different ways of being. Different ways of navigating this experience called being human.

From September 2014 until July 2015, my downstairs neighbor was from The Ukraine, and my cat and I so enjoyed having him around. He opened my eyes and mind to the possibilities of travel.

Interests

I love to travel although I haven't done a lot of it lately.

I love the outdoors, life, people, animals.

Good nutritious food. Made with love as its first and most important ingredient.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll work on these lists when I have more free time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the summer of 1989, I drove across the country with my brother and some friends that we made along the way, camping, crashing on friends' couches, sleeping in the car.

It was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Every place I go is my classroom. Every person I meet is my teacher. Every moment my lesson.

Bumper sticker reads: If you're bored, you're not paying attention.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to wash dishes. Split wood. Carry water. Care for children, animals, and elders. And I love to drive. Your car or mine. I can pick you up at the bus station or the airport.

I'm working on being a better cook and baker. I'm no added sugar and low carb. Working on gluten-free and can do dairy-free, too. Eggs don't count as dairy in my book. :-) I need eggs for the brain. Cholesterol is good for your brain! I do need to eat meat every now and then. Alcohol very, very rarely, and only one serving, thank you.

And I love to sit still, watch, and listen.
