To ride my motorcycle from Germany (where I live) to Newfoundland (where I am from).

ABOUT ME

I have been on the site for years, but since most people contact Patrick (OnkelKarle) I have not updated my profile or been active independently. But I have finally decided to change that.

I'm addicted to travel, but am relatively settled in Germany. Except when we take our motorcycles for trips that last from days to months at a time. I teach English to support my travel habit, and I write whenever I can.

PHILOSOPHY

When I read "Perfection is static, and I am in full motion" in one of Anais Ninn's diaries I knew I had found my motto. I try to apply it to others as well. In the end we only get one life, we need to live it the best way we can. We are going to make mistakes, but at least we can make our own mistakes, rather than letting others make them for us.

I host with Patrick (OnkelKarle is his account here). I particularly like to cook when I am hosted, and to share meals with our guests.

Travel! Meeting new people, food, reading, and movies. An ideal day would be spent exploring a new place, followed by wine, food and good company!
