ABOUT ME

Hello there. We are Amber and Aaron and we have a cute little Apartment on the border of Queens and Brooklyn. The neighborhood is a bit dumpy, but has a lot of charm if you walk down to Bushwick. Close to the subway and 15-20 minute train to Manhattan.

OUR BIO
I work most days as a playgroup teacher. Aaron is a graphic designer. We have a cute little apartment close-ish to the city. We really enjoy it when family and friends come to visit us from overseas and I really love the opportunity to share with people from all over the world my simple life. I am always thinking about trips around the world and want to be part of the couch surfing community to visit you as well - one day - maybe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Aaron and I are have hosted heaps of people and we have both traveled extensively. We just want you to feel at home, make yourself comfortable, enjoy the city and experience everything there is to enjoy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was really lucky when I was in Tokyo one year that a friend of mine just happened to have a storage apartment that I could stay in when I went to Tokyo. I was surrounded by heaps of junk, 1000's of photo albums, no water or heating. I stayed there for about 3 weeks - and although it had nothing, it was my home for that time.

Aaron can sleep anywhere / anytime.

Interests

I have lots of hobbies but nothing I pursue passionately. I like sewing, knitting, cycling, gardening, eating, sleeping, reading.

Aaron is more adventurous.
He loves music, cooking, reading, writing, arts and is pretty handy at designing stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Aaron and I climbed to the top of Mount Fuji together.
We also walked the great wall of china together. But I think the best things are yet to come.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to teach people how to knit, small presents and cute toys. But I am probably better at showing people around the place. I am new to New York as well - so manybe you can teach me something. I would love to learn an instrument - visitors with instruments are extra welcomed.
