About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To go on as many adventures and misadventures as possible.

ABOUT ME

I like people first. I am that person who will actually start a conversation with you in line. Who you will either think is much older or much younger than her real age depending on which conversation I strike up.

My actions are ruled by instinct, emotion, and logic, in that order.
I fall in love with something or other every hour on a slow day. I would die for more things than people live for.

I grew up in a super small town so I favor courtesy over convenience.

I would love to meet everybody in the entire world and listen to their stories at least once

My sense of humor is most like a cheeto.
Very dry, very cheesy, sometimes appallingly phallic, and has a tendency to leave a dirty residue wondering whether it was worth the indulgence.

I live my live aggressively. I talk about sex, religion, and politics as much as I can.

I will probably update this when I have more witty and quotable quips about myself.

Until then, tell me about yourself.

PHILOSOPHY

Okay there's lots of these:

Like people first

Be the change you wish to see in the world

Live every day like its your last

Done with generics? Well, I actually follow these. But here's some less cliched ones (I hope):

I drink as an accent to a meal or conversation. I also never want to build up a tolerance. I firmly life takes full concentration I never EVER want to lose focus on ANY part of what's happening organically. Because EVERY SINGLE THING that happens is too amazing to pass up.

Also, I believe that every once in a while you just need to step back and pretend your life is a movie or a sitcom. Because being embarrassed or mad about something that is hilarious is ridiculous.

I have more recently revamped my attitude on the whole "now or never" lifestyle. Not without a bit of direction, mind you, but other than that, why not be the person who tells the stories AND listens to them?

If you have something nice to say, say it. Compliments are much too sparce now adays because of trivial stranger stigmas.

Finally, I would rather be abrasive and find the diamonds in the rough than accept I live in a coal mine

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is the best drug, period. I love lying on my bed with the lights off and just allowing it to pour into me.
If I could I would physically inject music into me.
I will always love The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan more than all the money in the world. Honestly though, if it evokes an emotion I can and will love it.

I live vicariously through film. I will never hate the media for bringing me such a wonderous gift. My dedication level to movies is intermediate to advanced, but like any true love, it just feels right.

I continuously read children's books like the Wrinkle in Time series and anything by Roald Dahl. Grown up books would be similar to and including: Cannery Row, Vonnegut, Stone Butch Blues, Perfume, World War Z, Zen and Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Jane Eyre, The Mosquito Coast, Lolita, Time Traveller's Wife, The Princess Bride

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was walking down the streets of Calistoga and all of these people walking in the opposite direction had sunflowers in their hands. The amount of sunflowers puzzled me and after a couple of blocks I found their source. A woman, a dog, and a man had a little red wagon and a bucket with 2 sunflowers in it. I asked "Who are the sunflowers for?" and the woman picked one up, held it out and replied with a smile "It's for you."
True story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play some pretty awesome tennis.

I can also play an okay rhythm guitar.

I would not mind learning everything.
