HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS has allowed me to meet many new, interesting people and it's awesome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've only been in CS's peripheral. I traveled to Milan with a close friend with an account, and visited another friend while he was hosting a surfer from Germany. My total of 8 days with surfers was a great experience and I am going to be more involved as I travel this summer.

Interests

I'm interested in learning all I can about people and the universe. I'm obsessed with traveling, other languages/cultures, food, hiking, history, good music, technology, politics, and religion.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of fiction Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Clancy Douglas Adams, The Left Hand of Darkness, Lord of the Rings, The Catcher in the Rye, and I like reading anything about George Washington.

My music selection is very broad and very shallow: everything from Billy Joel/Queen/Elton John to Led Zeppelin/Aerosmith/Pink Floyd to Jazz to Bluegrass to all eras of classical. I'm always up for listening to new styles and artists if they can demonstrate some talent.

It's tough to find movies I don't like. Some of my favorites are O Brother Where art Thou? The Green Mile, Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, American History X, The Sixth Sense...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Suffice it to say I stood at the top of Blodgett Peak in Colorado, staring at a snow-capped Pike's Peak at sunset after I had spent the day climbing 5,000ft through a canyon, and the closest brush with death I have ever experienced with nothing but a backpack and the company of my best friend. I'm not sure that does it justice...
