Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Shi-lucky from Gifu!
I’m a 58-year-old a body care specialist (bone-setter)and organic farmer. I love living an active life.
My biggest passion is adventure travel. I've traveled to many countries, including the USA, Canada, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Bangladesh. Sometimes I travel by train or plane, but my favorite way to explore is by bicycle! I’ve done long-distance bicycle touring in Vietnam, India, and across many other borders.
I’m also a video creator (using GoPro and Filmora) to document my travels. I have 3 grown-up daughters who sometimes travel with me. I’m currently improving my English and would love to share stories with you!
[My Hometown: Gifu City]
Gifu is a beautiful city with the Nagara River, Mt. Kinka, and the Gifu Great Buddha—one of the three largest Buddha statues in Japan! The Gifu Great Buddha is unique because it's made of dry lacquer and bamboo. It has a very warm and gentle atmosphere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet people from different cultures and share "Fureai" (heart-to-heart connection). I've had a host family in California for 40 years, and they are like my second family. I'd love to create more connections like that!

After the exercise, we can visit a local cafe together (at our own expense). I'll introduce you to Gifu's unique "Morning Service" culture, where you get free toast and eggs just by ordering coffee!
