I am a nature lover, interested in the rich tapestry of culture and history of my country and presently engaged in personal research on the problems in the present interpretations of different aspects of folk culture of Bengal.

Off-road traveling is my passion and i have been to Uttarakhand, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, Jharkhand, exploring various places, living either with the locals or monks or at tent depending on the situation. For me backpacking and living with the locals of the places I am visiting is extremely important, as only by immersing oneself completely in the daily life of them one can truly experience the truth that irrespective of skin color, nationality, ethnicity or socio-economic standing we are ALL CHILDREN OF THAT SUPREME POWER by whatever name we may wish to call him/her/it.
