About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be foolish, take risks, do good, put a few smiles

ABOUT ME

Give everything a go. Give it the best when it's worth it. Play really hard and work really hard even as a volunteer. Have fun to the fullest. Be crazy!

Be curious, there's something worth discovering. We'll only really know what is out there, when we get out there.

Travelling, being in places and meeting people changes me bit by bit. Being in a sea of change challenges me and shapes me. Mostly it is about finding and knowing myself, redefining values that are important to me.

We come with nothing, we leave footprints and memories. Life is truly a collection of moments and memories.

PHILOSOPHY

My travel philosophy is to live and experience life like a local.

This path I go takes me far from what would have been a predictable life, like a quest, and slowly step-by-step the journey unfolds. Maybe I am imagining too much, but either way, it's been one heck of a ride.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed with an awesome Tunisian dude before I joined a non-profit ship sailing in the Mediterranean. Couchsurfed while hitchiking thru France, and made friends with an amazing family. There is now a tree planted in their garden with our names.

Otherwise, I have done WWOOFing in Australia for a total of 11 weeks, really enjoyed the sharing and exchange of lifestyle. Stayed with a man who had lived without electricity for 20 years. Had 2-weeks at a one-million-acre private wilderness park where they shot the movie Australia. Lived with Aboriginals for six weeks.

Workawayed with a hostel in Sevilla, a retreat centre near Toulouse and a boat north of Barcelona. Volunteered with a non-profit ship in the Mediterranean, lived with the ship community on land during repairs and helped a little from time to time with a countryside Catalan community.

Played host for my home and for my city for friends (and friend's friend) made along the journey. Most recently, a family travelling in a motorhome from Australia to Germany. An American and his partner, who hosted me in return 7 years later.
