About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make the most of living in one of the best cities in the world.

ABOUT ME

I am 27 years old and am temping as an administrator, having lived in London for just over 18 months.

I had some great experiences couchsurfing when I was travelling around Europe (I stayed with some wonderfully accommodating folks in Finland and Sweden!) and would love to offer my couch and spare room to anyone who needs somewhere to stay in London!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like rock music generally, in most of its forms, but I do enjoy classical and some other stuff every now and then. Been getting in to Latin music a lot lately for no apparent reason.

Movies: I like most kinds of films really. If there's two genres that don't really do it for me it's horror and romantic comedies, but it doesn't mean I won't watch them.

Books: I like to read a lot. I read a lot of fantasy/sci fi books. My favourite authors are Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams and Phillip K. Dick. Currently I am reading Moby Dick.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most amazing thing I have ever done is drive a lap around the Nurburgring in Germany. It was the most terrifying thing I have ever done in my whole life as there were sports cars screaming past me at 120mph.

I'm sure what seemed like the breakneck speeds I was driving at were closer to 60mph, though...

I also did a skydive a couple of years ago, in spite of a horrendous fear of falling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about history and international relations.

I am a reasonable cook, so I could maybe teach a couple of recipes.
