I was born in Princeton, New Jersey and grew up in Bombay, India and Geneva, Switzerland. I took my first transatlantic flight when I was a week old and I think it must have instilled a love for travel in me because I have travelled incessantly since. My summers have been spent travelling in places like Cairo, Seville, Marseille, and most recently San Francisco. I read frequently and listen to classic rock and 90's hip-hop. I have 5 dogs at home in Bombay, of which 3 are golden retrievers that I have actually taught to 'retrieve'.

I love that this is a community based on trust and morals. I spent my childhood in India and my grandfather (who was close friends with Gandhi) would always recite Gandhi's famous quote to me "Treat others as you would want to be treated yourself". The very idea of Couchsurfing is incredible - You present yourself to a complete stranger, who decides whether or not to let you into his home. I have always unofficially been a part of this community and it is only recently (out of an urgent need) that I found myself on the website.
