About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To fulfill my potential

ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly and energetic individual who likes adventure and meeting new people. I studied psychology at university and have worked with people suffering with mental health problems for 4 years since graduating. I am now seeking a change in career and have been pursuing a career as a dance performer. I have a dream to open a coffee shop in the future and to train in a holistic form of healing like reiki.

PHILOSOPHY

I am open to exploring many spiritual paths and seek to find my own way. I am interested in buddhism, paganism, shamanism, wicca, druidry, tantra but ultimately I believe that the truth is beyond words and intellectual concepts and religion. 'It' is something greater than we can imagine with our minds limitations and beyond what we could possibly describe in religious thought. These paths are only pointing to something far more mysterious.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a newbie to couchsurfing! Please look after me:)

Interests

I am passionate about dancing, travel, connecting with people and nature. I have tried many styles of dance, including belly dance, burlesque, swing dancing, break dance, butoh....and more! I like to explore different spiritual paths and I am particularly interested in buddhism and pagan paths. I love the buzz of cities but I also like to 'get away from it all' and spend time in nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - The Prophet - Khalil Gibran, Women that Run with the Wolves - C. P. Estes, Papillon - Henri Charriere, Anna Karenina - Tolstoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling to the Sahara desert in 2012 and seeing sand dunes stretching to the horizon and meditating in total silence. Nature leaves me awestruck.
Also thinking of my friends and how lucky I am to be blessed with them in my life leaves me awestruck.
I also can't believe I performed burlesque at a buddhist festival in summer 2012!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach english language, basic meditation techniques and various styles of dance to anyone who is interested.
