Resumen
Sobre mí
About me:
I studied IT in Gdansk University of Technology, where I stopped liking programming. I've started my work in the servers monitoring team. After few years I moved first to engineering and then I started to work as an AML software consultant. I also started to develop quite few hobbies in my free time. I think I am active person. I like to see, do things and talk (ah yes I used to be member of local Toastmaster club).
Current mission:
In June 2018 I quit my job and I've started traveling. The plan is to travel for a year around the world (and write my experience in the tenttales.com blog).
My motto:
Never give up!
The world makes way for this who know where they are going !
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I started my couchsurfing experience with attending few local meetings in Polish Tricity. Then I've met great people when I was traveling around my homeland. I attended few couchsurfing meetings when I was abroad (in example my favorite meeting-breakfast in Athens). I think this is great way to meet interesting people and explore unknown cities or places.
Intereses
Interests:
Kung Fu: Since 7 years I'm learning Kung Fu in the YMAA School. The styles are Long Fist for long distance and White Crane for short distance. I'm traveling now, but I try to keep practicing.
Craft Beer: I used to be an owner of the pub with craft beer, where I've learend "What is the real beer". Now whenever I'm traveling I'm trying to drink some local beers.
Sailing: I used to live in Gdansk, that is the harbor city near Baltic Sea. There I've leared basics of sailing and I've taken part in a few races
Mountains: Since my childhood I loved mountains. I admire their beauty and strength. You can read about one of my escapades on tenttales blog http://tenttales.com/en/blog/to-the-ala-kul-lake/
Fantasy: I like fantasy books since I was little. One of the first books I read was Hobbit. I know something about worlds of Warhammer, Cthulhu, The Wheel of Time or Kingslayer Chronicles.
Taichi: Few months after I started training Kung Fu, I've started practicing taichi. I've learned basics of Yang style, Qigong and Massage.
Snowboarding: One of my favorite ways to spend time in winter. I love the feeling of going down from the top of the mountain. Yes, I tried freeride many times. And I am snowboard instructor.
