I am quite weird and silly, and I don't plan to change. Whether you come to stay with me or you graciously give me a place to stay, I will surely amuse you, and I will hopefully make you think.

PHILOSOPHY

I intend to intend my life

I must be as selfless as possible, even if there are times where I cannot be very selfless. I want you to be happy and to have a better time.

I want to communicate more fully in every way, using any method or medium available. I do not want to hide my thoughts and feelings in veiled phrases and overextended metaphors. I want to tell you directly and hand the importance of the symbol, if there is any importance, right to you. Perhaps this is why I study language.

Also, impermanence.

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes, please.

Movies: weird stuff is the best, particularly along the lines of Holy Mountain, The Room, Zardoz, and more experimental stuff (Heaven and Earth Magic)

Music: I listen to, dance to, and play anything from Tito Puente to Django Django and from Frank Zappa to Dick Dale. I'll give anything a try, and I'll listen to whatever you are listening to.

Books: I read quite a bit, so I'll be working on multiple books at a time. Often these will include mixes such as Romantic poetry, 1980's pulp sci-fi, and the essays of Walter Benjamin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are a few amazing events in my life that would probably be more appealing for a space like this, but if I have to pick one to share it would be how I got the interrobang tattoo on my ankle. I was camping on a Rewilding weekend around Bellingham, WA, USA at the time. One of the skill swaps in the evening was on natural tattooing. I ended up tattooing myself on the edge of a mountain cliff, under a full moon, using thread, a sewing needle, and natural ink (lampblack plus plant dye) that I had made earlier in the day. This may not seem like a very extraordinary action, but it was very important in helping me to encounter a great teacher, who then lead me to intend my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more languages and how to communicate better. I am always excited to learn a new dance or to learn how to play a new instrument.

I have experience in teaching brewing, swing dancing, guitar, higher mathematics, and public art/giant puppet design. I am sure there are other things that I can pass on, as well, but they would have to come up in conversation.
